Al Azhar 8 Islamic Junior High School Bekasi Becomes the Only School to Achieve First Place in Two Subjects of the 2026 Bekasi Academic Competency Test (TKA)
Bekasi — Al Azhar 8 Islamic Junior High School Bekasi secured first place in the 2026 Bekasi Academic Competency Test (Tes Kemampuan Akademik/TKA) for both Mathematics and Indonesian Language. The school, which operates under the management of the Waqaf Al Muhajirien Jakapermai Foundation, was recorded as the only school to achieve the highest rank in both subjects based on the officially released results.
In Mathematics, Al Azhar 8 Islamic Junior High School Bekasi achieved an average score of 70.74, surpassing SMPK Penabur Summarecon Bekasi, which recorded an average score of 68.50, and SMP Trenmatika with 66.55.
The school also ranked first in Indonesian Language with an average score of 86.73. SMP Trenmatika followed in second place with 86.00, while SMP Labschool Cibubur ranked third with 85.31.
The 2026 Bekasi Academic Competency Test results reflected strong competition among the city’s leading schools. Based on the published rankings, Al Azhar 8 Islamic Junior High School Bekasi achieved first place in both Mathematics and Indonesian Language.
Principal of Al Azhar 8 Islamic Junior High School Bekasi, Abdul Hamid, S.Pd., stated that the achievement was the result of the collective efforts of all stakeholders involved in the educational process.
"This achievement is the outcome of the collaboration between dedicated teachers, highly motivated students, supportive parents, the guidance of the Foundation, and a school culture that continually strives for excellence," said Abdul Hamid.
According to him, the results of the 2026 Academic Competency Test serve as a motivation for the entire school community to maintain a strong commitment to learning, continuously improve the quality of instruction, and maximize students’ potential.
This academic accomplishment is also aligned with the ongoing efforts of the Waqaf Al Muhajirien Jakapermai Foundation to strengthen educational quality. In recent years, the Foundation has actively promoted digital learning initiatives, enhanced technological competencies among educators and students, and expanded educational programs that respond to the evolving demands of contemporary education.
