Telkom and Al-Muhajirien Foundation Accelerate Digital Transformation in Education
Bekasi, July 18, 2025 — PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, through Telkom Regional II, has entered into a strategic partnership with Yayasan Waqaf Al-Muhajirien Jakapermai to accelerate digital transformation across Al-Azhar educational institutions in Bekasi, from early childhood to senior high school levels.
The collaboration was formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing held at the foundation’s office, attended by Syafiudin representing the foundation and EVP Telkom Regional II, Edie Kurniawan, along with Telkom’s management team.
The partnership aims to develop a more integrated digital education ecosystem while enhancing both learning quality and institutional management.
Edie Kurniawan emphasized that the initiative reflects Telkom’s commitment to advancing digitalization in Indonesia’s education sector.
“This MoU is not merely ceremonial, but a strategic step to strengthen a digital-based education ecosystem. We aim to contribute to developing high-quality human resources through technology,” said Edie.
Meanwhile, Syafiudin highlighted that the collaboration marks a significant milestone in strengthening the foundation’s adaptability to technological advancements.
“Digital transformation is not just a necessity, but a responsibility to deliver relevant and high-quality education for future generations,” he stated.
Under this partnership, Telkom will provide integrated digital solutions, including connectivity services (Astinet and Indibiz), AI-driven website development and digital marketing, omni-channel call centers, cloud computing, data centers, IoT Smart Power, Finpay, and Microsoft 365.
The initiative is also expected to create a more modern, interactive, and inclusive learning experience for both students and parents.
“We hope this collaboration can serve as a model for other educational institutions to build a nationwide digital education ecosystem,” Syafiudin concluded.
With Al-Azhar’s strong national reputation, this collaboration is expected to inspire other institutions to embrace digital transformation and adapt to future educational needs.
